Preschool Choir

Preschool Choir is comprised of 3 and 4 year olds who meet every Sunday evening from 5:00-6:00 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the Education Building. Preschool Choir is not a performance choir, but the children do sing in special services at Christmas time and again in the spring at the end of the choir year. Preschool Choir introduces the children to all aspects of music and includes beginning theory and activities that involve listening, moving, singing, and using rhythm instruments. The activities are geared to the children’s attention span and their need to be active.

Younger Children’s Choir

The Younger Children’s choir, aka Music Makers Choir, is comprised of children in grades K-3 and meets at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday evening on the 2nd floor of the Education Building. Our primary goal is to teach spiritual concepts through music. In this choir, we concentrate on helping each child develop a singing voice, a sense of steady beat, and fundamental music reading skills. These concepts are taught through music games, movement, and the use of a variety of instruments. Large and small group activities are planned as well as activities that give each child individual attention. While not a performing group, we do share our music with the church on Children’s Sabbath, Christmas, and Choir Recognition Night.

Older Children’s Choir

Older Children’s Choir is for Children in grades 4 and 5. The choir meets Sunday at 5:00 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the Education Building for a variety of musical experiences: singing, playing instruments, drama, and movement. Older Children’s Choir participates in worship leadership several times during the school year. We also participate in the week-long Older Children’s Music Day Camp during the summer. This camp combines musical experiences with field trips and social activities.

Youth Choir

The Youth Choir is open to all youth in grades 6 -12. They rehearse in the choir room each Sunday during the school year from 5:00 to 5:50 p.m. In addition to leading periodically in our worship, they also present special programs throughout the year. Instrumentalists from within the choir also frequently assist in our worship services.

Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir is the primary worship leader choral organization of our church. In addition to giving leadership to our 11:00 a.m. Sunday worship service, they also present various seasonal and other special programs including Christmas, Good Friday, Easter, and Composer Day. They rehearse each Thursday from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. A nursery is available for preschool children.

First Bells

The First Bells is a select group of handbell ringers who lead regularly in our worship services. They rehearse on Thursday at Noon. Music reading is a requirement for membership. If interested in ringing, contact the Church Office.
