Each week families bring their children to Auburn First Baptist to attend our Child Development Center. Families are thankful for the lessons learned, friends made, and community formed. We are thankful for the leadership of Milissa Clowers, who celebrates her tenth anniversary as the Director of the CDC on May 1.
We are grateful for her dedication and personal touch, which Milissa brings to all of her work! She knows the children and their families, and she offers support and encouragement to the teachers. She prioritizes excellence in the classroom, while always creating a nurturing environment.
During this previous year, the CDC faced significant challenges. The CDC had to close for several months, and Milissa, along with the CDC Committee, navigated this transition with commitment and insight. They preserved the financial vitality of the center, and they supported the staff and families in the midst of it all.
Over the years, Milissa has maintained our accreditation with the National Accreditation Commission of the Association for Early Learning Leaders. This places a high standard on our center, preserving the best experience for our families. Our families celebrate the level of education and care their children receive! We are thankful for the great reputation of the CDC throughout our community.
Milissa has also cultivated a shared partnership with Auburn First Baptist. She supports the programs of the church and introduces families to our congregation. We also work together on facility needs and shared projects.
We are thankful for the consistent dedication of Milissa as the Director of the Child Development Center. We celebrate with her and the families of the CDC on her tenth anniversary. We give thanks for her leadership, as the CDC is an important extension of Auburn First Baptist!
