Over the course of the summer, the church was invested in important experiences and ministry, which we now celebrate! One important way we celebrate is by sharing the stories from those experiences. We will gather over the course of the next few Thursdays to give thanks!
On August 18, we will hear the Brasil Mission Report from our mission team. We will give thanks for their work and what they accomplished! We will offer our gratitude for the needs they addressed. We will hear stories about the church they built. We will remember the children they met at Vacation Bible School and think about the people who received the glasses they distributed. It is a long-standing ministry of the church for which we are thankful.
On August 25, we will celebrate our children and youth, as they share their Passport Reflections! They will tell their stories from Passport and discuss what they learned about God’s BIG Love! We will see pictures from camp, and we will offer our support to them. It is one of the ways we walk with them as they grow up in this community of faith. Several church members have agreed to make their famous desserts for us to enjoy in celebration of our children and youth!
On September 1, Laura will share with the congregation her experience this summer on Sabbath Study Leave. She will talk about what she gained and tell stories from her summer. She will share the benefit of the rest and study she was able to do, while she was away.
We are thankful for so many good experiences this summer! We will celebrate these opportunities as this new school year begins to unfold.
