Touching Miami with Love

In the summer of 2025, we are planning a mission trip to Touching Miami with Love. Touching Miami with Love (TML) is a Legacy Partner of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in Florida. It has been a long-time, sustainable partnership for missions and ministry with CBF.

Touching Miami with Love has served the Overtown and West Homestead communities for nearly 30 years, offering support for children, youth, and their families. They have a holistic approach ensuring student achievement in school. They provide tutoring for classes and access to technology, while also teaching social-emotional learning, spiritual development, job training, civic engagement, as well as arts and culture.

During the summer, they have an extensive daily program, which is run by TML staff and volunteers. They have classes, field trips, and fun activities. We will volunteer in June, helping to teach classes, lead devotions, and enjoy time with the students. It is a wonderful opportunity for us to partner with this program!

The mission trip will be from June 15-21, 2025. Due to the size of the classrooms and programmatic needs, we will take a group of 13-15 church members. Families are welcome to participate with youth at least 14 years old. We will drive down to Miami on June 15 in the church bus and teach classes from Monday to Friday. We will have one day for other activities in the Miami area. We will drive home on Saturday.

The details about the cost of the trip are available in this newsletter. If you would like to sign up, or have questions, please contact tmartin@auburnfbc.org. There will be meetings in the Spring to plan for this trip and to organize our work.  We are looking forward to this opportunity to serve!
