We are counting down the days until the academic semester is over as we await the exciting days of summer. We are looking forward to Vacation Bible School from June 2-5. Our theme this year is “Road Trip.” It is about the journey of faith!
Registration for Vacation Bible School is ongoing, so if you have not signed up, the link to register is found in this newsletter. The children will learn stories from scripture, songs in worship, and prayers for the “road trip” of faith. We are thankful for this week, which is a journey in itself, and for our volunteers, who are busy planning and preparing for this “road trip.”
A “road trip” is a fitting theme for this time of year and the days of summer. We will soon be adjusting to a different rhythm or making plans to travel. In our journey of faith, we continue to have new experiences and fresh adventures. We are constantly learning and growing, while also remembering the places we have been before.
With expectant joy, we are praying for the volunteers and children of Vacation Bible School. We pray their experience on this “road trip” will shape their ongoing journey of faith! We also remember our journey of faith, as we continue to ask important questions, seek the hope of God, and lean into the ways of Jesus. May it lead us to new experiences and fresh discoveries, which are life-giving to us, and to others.
We also remember Laura Edgar as we celebrate her tenure this Sunday and as she begins a new chapter in her journey. We are thankful for her ministry and place among us as we have traveled together! We pray for Laura and Seth in this new chapter as we look forward to celebrating with them this Sunday, May 18.
